The village lies in Rudnianska Basin, along the picturesque river Nitrica surrounded by a beautiful nature scenery formed from west by Strážovské Hills – part Nitrické Hills and from north-east by mountain rage Magura ending with an impressive peak Strážov. In its vicinity are peaks Malý Rokoš (950 m a.s.l.) and Veľký Rokoš (1.010 m a.s.l.). Highly visited is also water reservoir Nitrianske Rudno. It offers great conditions for windsurfing, riding boats and water bicycles, swimming and also fishing. There are restaurants, cottages and car camping site close to reservoir.
